TAXPAC 2025 ENDORSED CANDIDATES
TAXPAC has officially voted to endorse six candidates in US House and Senate races around the country who have demonstrated their commitment to taxing the rich, raising wages, and protecting democracy. The endorsed candidates are listed below—click on each candidate’s name to go to their unique ActBlue page to contribute. These six amazing champions will need all the help they can get to win their races, and we’re excited to see them become members of Congress in 2026!
Jordan Wood (ME-SEN)
Jordan is running in the Democratic primary to challenge Sen. Susan Collins for Maine's Senate seat. Collins has proven to be an extremely difficult Republican to beat, even in a state won by both Biden and Harris, so we need a candidate with a strong populist platform to inspire voters in Maine. We think Jordan can be that candidate, and as the former Chief of Staff to Congresswoman Katie Porter and VP of End Citizens United, he has a ton of experience fighting for economic justice. Jordan has demonstrated his strong commitment to taxing the rich, raising wages, and protecting democracy, and his race will be one of the most competitive Senate races in 2026.
Lt Gov. Peggy Flanagan (MN-SEN)
Lt Gov. Peggy Flanagan is running in the Democratic primary for Minnesota's open Senate seat, vacated by retiring Sen. Tina Smith. She is currently serving as the Lieutenant Governor of Minnesota, and her platform is strongly aligned with our mission. Peggy has demonstrated her commitment to taxing the rich, raising wages, and protecting democracy, and though she's starting off strong in the primary, she's going to need all the help she can gets if want a true economic champion in this seat.
REP. GREG CASAR (TX-35)
Rep. Casar is an incumbent Democrat running for re-election in Texas's 35th district. Casar is a rising star in the Democratic Party, and was elected chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus for this Congress, which has given him a great platform to advocate for a bold economic platform. Rep. Casar has also been a close ally of the organization for several years and is one of our loudest and strongest champions in Congress. Though his re-election is not expected to be competitive, it is worth showing our support for such a great advocate for our agenda.
Rep. Delia Ramirez (IL-03)
Rep. Ramirez is an incumbent Democrat running for re-election in Illinois's 3rd district. She is a member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, and an all-around fantastic member of Congress. She has also been a close ally of Patriotic Millionaires for several years now, and she is one of the strongest champions of our issues in Congress currently. Though her re-election is not expected to be competitive, it is worth showing support for such a strong advocate for the TAXPAC agenda.
Donavan McKinney (MI-13)
Donavan is running in the primary to challenge incumbent Democrat Rep. Shri Thanedar in Michigan's 13th district. Rep. Thanedar is not known for being great on our issues, has a reputation for poor constituent services and a weak connection to the district, and is heavily funded by corporate PAC money after previously rejecting it when he first ran for the seat. Donavan, on the other hand, comes from a working-class background and represents the poorest district in the Michigan state senate, so he understands what his constituents need. Beyond that, Donavan is far stronger on our specific issues than the incumbent. Donavan has demonstrated his commitment to taxing the rich, raising wages, and protecting democracy.
Emily Berge (WI-03)
Emily is running in the Democratic primary to challenge Republican Rep. Derrick Van Orden in Wisconsin's 3rd district. She currently serves as the City Council President in Eau Claire, which effectively makes her the mayor. Emily is running on a platform that is aligned with ours and she has demonstrated her commitment to taxing the rich, raising wages, and protecting democracy. This is likely to be one of the most competitive House races in 2026, and Emily will need a lot of support if she is going to win this race.
